book that just for once doesn't fall over itself in an effort
to be multi-cultural. It tells of the tribes of Northern European
peoples who came together to forge the England and the English nation. It
also covers aspects of Viking history and tells how these
northern cousins of the English were absorbed into the existing
English nation.
