A couple of months ago we passed on some
information about The White Horse Stone in Kent and about
the fact that there had been a planning application put
forward to build a mobile phone mast in it's immediate vicinity.
The White Horse Stone is an ancient monument with associations
stretching way back to Hengist and Horsa and to the very
beginnings of the English nation, so understandably many
of you were up in arms and took up our invitation to write
letters of complaint to Maidstone Borough Council. Thankfully
we can now tell you that the planning application was rejected
so thank you for everyone who wrote in and complained. IT
