I wonder how many of our MP's kids
go to a school where they get such a "culturally enriching"
experience. How much does it cost both in monetary terms
and in the effect it has on English kids education? It all
bodes well for the future....TC
One in 8 pupils at primary school in England speak English
as a second language, official statistics show. Government
figures show 12.5% of primary school pupils need extra assistance.
In secondary schools 9.5% of pupils do not have English
as their first language. This equates to 419,600 primary
school kids and 314,950 secondary school kids who are not
using English as their primary language.
