A pensioner who refused to complete
his national census form last year has been jailed for seven days.
Robert Relf, 77 said he would
not fill out the form because there was no space on it to put his nationality
as English, rather than British.
He was originally ordered to
pay a £100 fine and £60 costs. He failed to pay and was jailed
by Margate magistrates.
Editor's comment: The
census form contained virtually every other ethnic grouping you can think
of including Scottish. Once again the English are ignored and treated
with little more than contempt. It may seem a small point but it is all
part of a gradual process of deculturisation. Also, who exactly is being
served by sending an old man to prison for nothing more than standing
up for what he believes. He is obviously a right nasty piece of work and
hopefully now; the public can sleep safe at night without people like
him roaming the streets on their zimmers.
