The terms "Anno Domini" (AD) and "Before Christ" (BC) are being gradually replaced in school text books by "Common Era" and "Before the Common Era" to avoid offending the sensitivities of religious minorities.

This is nothing to do with the sensitivities of minorities. It's rather an attempt to re-badge Britain as a post-Christian nation. But it is not. Britain has a dominant Christian culture.

Far from being offended by BC and AD, minorities should esteem the heritage that makes this country such an attractive place.

Editor's comment: Once again this kind of rubbish serves no purpose what so ever apart from getting peoples back up and building resentment within ordinary people. I do not believe that many people within the ethnic minorities give a damn about BC and AD and those that are offended by it aren't the type of people who can make a positive contribution to life in this country anyway. Nobody bothered asking me if I was offended by having part of my language changed. Another example of the thought police riding roughshod over the English language and culture. In their eyes we just don't matter.
