Codie Stott a 15 year old school girl was
arrested by police in Manchester after she asked her teacher
if she could be moved from a science group where she was
with five asian pupils, only one of whom spoke English.
Codie said: "I asked the teacher could I change groups
because I didn't understand them and she said I was being
racist and started shouting at me." She was taken to
a police station where she had her jewellery and shoelaces
removed before being put in a cell and having her DNA and
fingerprints taken.
Just imagine for one moment if it had been an asian girl
asking to be moved to a group where she could better understand
what was going on. No one can seriously argue that she would
have been hauled off to the local nick on a hate crime charge.
It just wouldn’t happen. This is not just wrong but
it is so wrong and it is not ethnic minorities who on the
whole are the worst culprits but it is stupid white people
(double standard alert – notice how it wouldn’t
be acceptable to put stupid black people). I read somewhere
that she referred to the asian kids as blacks. Getting your
terminology wrong does not constitute a hate crime and anyway
who could blame her when there is a new directive out every
other week telling us which words are in and which are now
racist. I think at the moment half-caste and coloured are
not the flavour of the month and have been replaced with
black and minority ethnic. But don’t quote me on that
as I’m not 100% positive (as I write this I can hear
the police kicking my front door in). And we wonder why
there are never any police on the beat.
If these people treated this English schoolgirl differently
simply because she is English then they are guilty of discrimination
as simple as that. But to them discrimination can only be
committed by white people onto black and minority ethnics
or what ever they are. These must be intelligent people
but they simply can’t see it. The police are like
the SS concentration camp guards who simply go along with
everything because they have been told to and because they
value their jobs. If they had arrested an asian or a muslim
girl and treated her in the same manner there would have
been major eruptions but the English people have become
so alienated in their own country that they have been cowed
into silence and have lost the confidence as a people to
do anything about it - TC
