 introduction the WATE.com community

Before you can use the community, you must be an AIMOO member (AIMOO are the people who run the community on our behalf). It's free and easy to do and (being the kind souls that we are) we've even prepared some easy to follow steps to help get you started...

1. Click the "Go To The WATE.com Community" link at the bottom of this page (the community interface will open in a new window).

2. Click "Join" on the main menu and complete the registration form when it appears. You must complete all fields with the red * next to them. All other fields are optional, but if you want to be completely anonymous, we suggest that you NOT use your real name, or include your City and Post/Zip Code.

3. AIMOO ID: This is your forum nickname - it can be anything you like, provided that no other community user has already chosen the name.

4. Email Address: This MUST be your actual, current email address. Your AIMOO Community password will be sent to you once you're all signed up.

5. Website Address: If you have a web site, you can include a link to it from you profile.

6. ICQ, AOL, Yahoo & MSN Chat Clients: If you use any of these, you can include your chat client user name so that other community users can contact you directly. Otherwise leave these fields blank.

7. Profile Visibility: Un-tick this box if you do NOT want other community users to be able to view your profile details.

8. Email Visibility: Un-tick this box if you do NOT want other community users to be able to contact you directly via email.

9. And that's just about it... All you have to do now is check you've filled the form out correctly (especially your email address) and click the "Sign Up Now" button and you'll soon be able to use all area's of the WATE.com community.

If you do run into any problems, AIMOO themselves provide a good degree of support via the "Help" link on the community interface, or you can email our technical boffin (Wate Monkey) who will be more than pleased to help you out where and/or if he can: watemonkey@wearetheenglish.com.
