| Did
you know that Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have
their own Parliaments or Assemblies that deal with their
own domestic issues and run along side the UK parliament?
Scottish, Welsh
and Irish MP's sitting at Westminster do not handle their
countries own domestic affairs; they are handled by there
own assemblies and parliaments. They are at Westminster
to vote on national issues such as defence, foreign policy
etc with everything else they vote on being concerned with
English domestic issues.
The English people
are being partly represented by people who have no interest
in protecting the rights and culture of England and the
English people. It is simply not fair. Why would a Scottish
MP table a motion, vote for a policy or lend support to
a motion that would increase spending or services in England,
when in doing so it may lesson the money or adversely affect
the services his constituents receive in Scotland. They
have a say in governing us, but we have no say what so ever
in how they are governed. This government's devolution policy
has been badly thought out and is incomplete, with the English
once again being expected to keep quiet and accept things.
We need our own
parliament to stand up for the rights of the English people
and to run along side the UK parliament at Westminster;
as the Welsh, Scottish and Irish already have. You cannot
complain about things unless you are prepared to do something
about it and nothing will be done unless people are prepared
to stand up and be counted.
